Cedar Grove Park
Whitemarsh Township's Cedar Grove Park is a 25-acre park, located at the intersection of Cedar Grove Road and Wells Street, in Conshohocken. The Cedar Grove Barn, a Parks & Recreation program facility, and the Whitemarsh Art Center, are also located at Cedar Grove Park. This park offers a unique blend of passive and active recreational opportunities.

Cross County Trail
This Montgomery County-owned trail splits from the Schuylkill River Trail in Conshohocken and heads north through a mix of urban and suburban areas. Currently, three miles are completed from Conshohocken to Germantown Pike in Plymouth Township. Eventually, the completed 17.5-mile trail will connect to Willow Grove and into Bucks County, providing a major north-south route through the heart of Montgomery County. It will also join up with the Wissahickon Green Ribbon Trail, giving users access to Fort Washington State Park, Morris Arboretum, and Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.

Dixon Meadow Preserve & Boardwalk
The Dixon Meadow Preserve is a 14-acre naturalized area, created to manage stormwater, provide natural habitat, and offer passive recreation for the community. Fully equipped with a parking lot lot off Flourtown Road, connected by a walking trail down to the Boardwalk, the preserve offers a boardwalk spanning nearly two-thirds of a mile, three observation stations with educational signs, and meadow preserves boasting a diversity of wildlife. The Preserve is a haven for birders, walkers and those who enjoy the area’s natural flora and fauna. The Dixon Meadow Preserve & Boardwalk is the result of collaborative efforts between Whitemarsh Township and the Whitemarsh Foundation.

Fort Washington State Park
Fort Washington State Park consists of 493 acres in eastern Montgomery County. It takes its name from the temporary fort built by George Washington’s troops in the fall of 1777, before heading to Valley Forge. The park is popular with hikers and picnickers. Birders enjoy the seasonal migration of raptors from the Observation Deck.

Gateway Open Space Park at Cold Point
The Gateway Open Space Park at Cold Point is located on the corner of Flourtown Road and Butler Pike. This passive pocket park has has a "Welcome to Whitemarsh" sign on the corner, native plants & trees, and an accessible walkway that leads to a sitting area with a trellis, benches, and a picnic table.

The Highlands Mansion and Gardens
In December of 2020, as a part of Senate Bill 1214, ownership of the historic Highlands Mansion and its surrounding acreage was transferred to the Highlands Historical Society. The Highlands Mansion and Gardens is a 44-acre historic site with a late 18th century Georgian mansion and two-acre formal garden. Surrounded by massive stone walls, the gardens offer a beautiful example of early 20th, century estate gardening with an unusual blend of horticulture and architecture. The site features nine outbuildings, including a bank barn, springhouse, greenhouse, smokehouse and Gothic Revival gardener's cottage.

Historic Hope Lodge
The Historic Hope Lodge sits atop 42 pristine acres in Fort Washington, PA. Hope Lodge was built between 1743 and 1748 by Samuel Morris, a prosperous Quaker entrepreneur, and is an excellent example of early Georgian architecture. Today, Hope Lodge is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission with the Friends of Hope Lodge, a non-profit support group formed to assist with operations at the site.

Kline Park
Kline Park is a 57 acre parcel that was donated to Whitemarsh Township by the Shacklett family between 1999-2000. This predominantly passive park & nature preserve is located between Joshua Road and Ridge Pike, with a gateway located near the intersection of Wisteria Lane and Birch Drive.

Koontz Park
Koontz Park is the newest addition to the Township park system and covers 3.9 acres. Koontz Park officially opened in June of 2010 and is fully ADA accessible. Koontz Park is also home to the Township Parks & Recreation Department Administrative Offices. Many programs are run in the program room space at the Koontz Park Building, including our fitness classes as well as our senior programming.

Leeland Park
Leeland Park features a new playground structure that was installed in the summer of 2000 and new swing sets installed in the spring of 2002.

McCarthy Park - Trail
McCarthy Park is a 17 acre site purchased by the Township in 1999 with grant funding from the Montgomery County Open Space Program. The park is adjacent to Colonial School District's Victory Fields, west of Joshua Road. This passive recreation park provides valuable open space and natural habitat preservation, along with a multi-use trail connecting to the William Jeanes Memorial Library, Whitemarsh Elementary School, and surrounding neighborhoods.

Miles Park
Miles Park is a 25-acre park located at the intersection of Joshua Road and Germantown Pike. Miles Park received a new playground in the summer of 2000 and a tot lot play area in the spring of 2001 with funding assistance from the Patrons of the Whitemarsh Parks.

Schuylkill River Trail
The Schuylkill River Trail (SRT) is owned, managed, maintained and developed by a number of organizations who have come together to form the Schuylkill River Trail Partners. The SRT is a multi-use path that will extend 120 miles from Frackville in Schuylkill County, through Montgomery, Chester and Berks Counties to Philadelphia. Most of the trail is built over abandoned railroad lines. Today, over 75 miles of paved and crushed stone trail are open to the public. Along its path, trail users can see evidence of several centuries of industrial development, canal navigation, railroad transportation, quarrying of limestone and iron ore, and the production of iron and steel.

Spring Mill Park
This Montgomery County-owned park, located in Whitemarsh Township, consists of 38 acres of floodplain along the east side of the Schuylkill River. It provides an access point for the Schuylkill River Trail, which passes through the park. Except for the trail, the park is undeveloped.

Valley Green Park
Valley Green Park is an 8-acre park located at Church Road and East Valley Green Road. The development and renovation of Valley Green Park began back in the early 2000's through the generous donation of McNeil Pharmaceuticals, which paid for the grading, installation of the softball field, a parking lot, and the basketball courts.

Wells Street Open Space - Trail
Wells Street Open Space is a 23.1 acre site that has been maintained utilizing a stewardship plan created by Natural Lands Trust in 2015. The scenic natural passive site includes a walking/hiking trail, a meadow, and a picnic area with tables and benches.

Wissahickon Trail
This Montgomery County trail is also known as the Green Ribbon Preserve Trail, and it will run from the Liberty Bell Trail in the North Penn area to Philadelphia’s Forbidden Drive Trail in the Fairmount Park System. The trail is currently an existing walking path that stretches along the Wissahickon Creek from Stenton Avenue in Whitemarsh Township to a point near Lansdale Borough.
