CPA 2017 Graduating Class
ABOUT THIS PROGRAM:
The Citizen Police Academy is a program designed to provide participants with a working knowledge of the Whitemarsh Township Police Department. The academy consists of a series of classroom instruction and practical field exercises held one (1) evening per week for a period of 2 to 3 hours. This course of instruction, held over several sessions, is offered to residents of Whitemarsh Township at no cost.
The Citizen Police Academy provides an in-depth view into several areas of law enforcement. It is an educational and informative program that allows Citizen the opportunity to learn more about the issues that effect law enforcement in Whitemarsh Township.
GOALS:
The main goal of the Citizen Police Academy is to provide the residents of Whitemarsh Township with a higher level of knowledge and insight into the workings of their police department. Graduates of the Citizen Police Academy will have gained a deeper understanding of the work that the men and women who are protecting their community are doing.
2025 SCHEDULE:
Program will start September 29th, and run for six consecutive Monday evenings through November 3rd, 2025, from 7PM to 9PM.

SafeWatch Whitemarsh allows residents to alert Whitemarsh Police to the presence of any video surveillance device on their property. Whitemarsh Police keep this list of addresses confidential, and cannot view the video without the property owner's consent. However, if a crime is reported in that general area, Whitemarsh Police then know to contact those homeowners for potential video evidence of the crime or suspects.
