Building Permits

Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by the Code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit.

Contractor Registration

Only contractors who are registered with the township may obtain building permits to perform work in Whitemarsh Township.

An Earth Disturbance Permit might be required if your project involves specific situations.

Historic District Property Alterations

Any alternations to the exterior of any property or its environment that are designed to be visible from any public way within the designated historic district must be reviewed by the Historical Architectural Review Board.
